The design goal for this Sandpoint residence was to create a visible and inviting front entrance and courtyard within a limited space among existing mature trees. The old stair case was redesigned to be more open and visible from the driveway. It was also retrofitted to store recycle bins beneath. The entry courtyard with bluestone pavers and a fountain welcomes guests, and provides a view to Lake Washington. The simple pre-cast concrete balustrades and columns add an elegant and clean look to the courtyard.
