This garden is nestled in a beautiful property in west Seattle. The terraced garden was designed to be enjoyed from both the upper deck and lower lawn areas. Decorative curvilinear retaining walls replaced old railroad ties, creating a graceful transition from the upper deck to the garden. A new crushed rock path meanders through the lower terrace, converting this large planting area into a stroll garden and destination. Beautiful quilts designed by the owner, who is also an avid gardener, provided inspiration for the design. (by courtesy of Darwin Webb Landscape Architects, P.S.)
